MOUNTAIN BIKING: Two Creeks Trail Area

← VA LIMESTONE BRANCH LEESBURG VA Single Tracks →

Description

The trail area is in a bird sanctuary. There is a outerloop which is for horses and hikers, and is prohibited. The inner loop is the mountain bike loop. The trail consists of singletrack hard pack clay-dirt. There are just enough small rocks and roots to make the trail entertaining. There are NO steep ups or downs, logs, drops, or jumps. The trail does have great flow and if ridden fast, the mild ups and downs mixed with very fun corners makes it a trail to check out at least one time. The biggest downfall is the short length. However, if you take multiple laps as fast as possible the trail is very enjoyable and good practice for cornering [one way loop]. I will definately go back soon.

Directions

Off of the W&OD trail at mile 30.5. If coming from Leesburg travel east on route 7 about 3-5 miles. Make a right on Cochran Mill Rd. Travel about 2-3 miles. You will see the signs for W&OD and will be by a quarry. Parking is next to the W&OD trail crossing. Park and take the W&OD east towards Sterling, VA [power lines on your left] for about .5 miles and the trail head is on your left.
